The 2012 show will be held from 26th – 28th March 2012 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) in Abu Dhabi.

GIBTM will showcase international meetings and incentive suppliers from national tourist organisations,destinations,national convention bureaux,hotels and hotel groups,destination management companies and specialist service providers,representing the Gulf region,South and South East Asia,Europe,North Africa and beyond.

2011 Visitor Figures

GIBTM 2011 was a very successful 5th show with over 2800 attendees which included 259 Hosted Buyers.In 2012 we intend to bring in over 300 Hosted Buyers and further develop Gulf meetings week

Stand Sizes

The minimum stand size we offer is 9sqm,which you are welcome to share with partners if you so wish. The cost for a 9sqm stand would be:

9sqm stand if booking prior to 31st December:

$947 per sqm x 9 = $8523

Shell scheme @ $ 120 per sqm = $ 1080

Furniture package A = $526

Total cost = US $ 10,129

The shell scheme includes white walls,aluminium ceiling grid,name board,lights and power. The furniture package includes 1 table,2 chairs,1 cupboard,1 bin,2 shelves.

The Hosted Buyer Programme

The Hosted Buyer Programme at GIBTM guarantees the attendance of top-level qualified buyers with big budgets and high level purchasing responsibility.

In 2011,259 Hosted Buyers attended the event as part of the Hosted Buyer Programme. We are targeting 300 buyers for the 2012 Hosted Buyer Programme,200 international buyers from Europe,US and Asia and 100 buyers from the Middle East Delegates on the Hosted Buyer programme are required to meet strict qualifying criteria:level of purchasing authority,annual budget,number of events held annually and business conducted internationally.

Once buyers are recruited and qualified GIBTM will host them at the event and provide complimentary flights and accommodation. In return buyers commit to attend a schedule of 8 pre-selected appointments with exhibitors they are genuinely interested in meeting,per day of attendance.

This system ensures the maximum business-to-business interaction during the event. At GIBTM 2011 a staggering 7400+ appointments were arranged between buyers and exhibitors. Additionally exhibitors at GIBTM can also request appointments with Hosted Buyers in whom they have a particular interest,these appointments are subject to confirmation from the Buyers concerned.

Trade Visitors

In addition to the 259 Buyers on the Hosted Programme over 2541 Trade Visitors attended GIBTM 2011. These visitors consisted of high quality buyers that had decided to attend GIBTM independently of the Hosted Buyer programme.

Trade Visitors for 2011 comprised of meetings professionals from companies such as HPN Global Jordan,Helms Briscoe,MCI Group,Saudi Stock Exchange,Saudi Aramco,New Horizon – MICE and Malek Travel and Tourism.

The Key Benefits of Exhibiting at GIBTM

  • Individual Pre-scheduled appointments. You will have a diary of one to one appointments with Hosted Buyers who have specifically requested to meet you. Buyers commit to attend a minimum of eight individual PSA’s for each day that they are at GIBTM. This gives you the possibility of 30 one to one appointments for the 3 days of the event.
