Spotlight workshops Gaborone Botswana

Our four previous workshops in Gaborone have been a great success with more than 100 trade and corporates attending each.
This workshop is not solely a Spotlight on Africa but a Spotlight on everywhere ….overseas,Africa,regional and domestic travel within Botswana
Gaborone is always one of the most enthusiastic audiences we have,and the feed back we receive from Exhibitors was very positive.
Our decision last year to do two sessions –one in the morning and another one in the late afternoon /evening was a great success with 40 attending the morning and 70 in the evening.
Gaborone is a thriving commercial centre in Southern Africa with a booming economy and has become the centre of the global diamond industry.
Overseas Travel is increasing and there are 20 IATA Travel Agencies in Gaborone so it will be an ideal opportunity for Airlines,International Tourist offices,cruise companies and coach tour companies to network with agents.
Kenya Airways now has direct flights to Nairobi and this is a good opportunity for Kenyan Tour operators and Hotels to promote to this exciting new market.
Gaborone residents are great weekend travellers. This workshop is an ideal chance for products within Botswana and over the border in North West, Limpopo,Gauteng etc to promote their packages,lodges,shopping opportunities etc.
I have appointed Gaborone based Conference organiser to assist me in distributing the invites and chasing up the RSVP’s. In particular they will be targeting the Corporate and Government sectors to invite the Travel &Conference Co-ordinators to attend.

WORKSHOP FORMAT
Table-top workshop –Free Flow (not scheduled appointments).
One 3-hour session breakfast session for approx 40 trade attendees and an late afternoon session with approximately 60-70 buyers.
HOW WILL THE WORKSHOP BE PROMOTED
I have appointed a Gaborone based conference company to hand deliver invitations and chase up registrations.Invitations will be sent using our specifically targeted databases to travel agencies (leisure and corporate),Inbound and Regional Tour Operators,and major Corporate Travel accounts.
Frequent reminders will be sent via fax mail,email and telephone follow-ups.

You will need two nights accommodation Wednesday and Thursday.Accommodation options to be advised.
FLIGHTS
We will be negotiating with British Airways,AirBotswana for a special fare.SAA also offers flights toGaborone and are offering some special deals on their website.
DRIVING TO BOTSWANA
Very easy drive via Rustenburg and Zeerust on toll road,about 4 and a half hours to Tlokweng border post near Gaborone. You need an insurance “over border” letter from your Brokers and a special letter from your vehicle finance house. Border fee is P110 (R140).
