Following the outstanding success of the Spotlight 2023 TravelExpo in Windhoek we have scheduled our next TravelExpo on Saturday 16 March 2024 at Movenpick Mercure Windhoek International Conference Centre (formerly Safari Court Hotel)

The 2023 Workshops were attended by 107 attendees from 43 different companies (plus a few branches of agencies). Agencies from Swakopmund and Walvis Bay were also well represented.

27 Exhibitors representing airlines, cruises, hotels, beach resorts, car rental attended and promoted, Namibia, Botswana, Seychelles, Mauritius, East Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Europe and South Africa (Northern Cape, Cape Town, Durban).

ANTA and TASA are fully supportive of this workshop and will assist us in inviting all the IATA and Non – IATA agents and ITC’s and Namibian Tour Operators.

We are again holding the TravelExpo all-day on a Saturday as this allows many of the Swakopmund and Walvis Bay agents to attend.

Regional African and overseas travel is increasing so it will be an ideal opportunity for Airlines, International Tourist offices, beach resorts, hotel groups and cruise companies to network with agents.

The Spotlight TravelExpo will promote:

  • Regional travel from Namibia to African destinations & Indian Ocean resorts
  • Outbound overseas travel from Namibia
  • Domestic travel within Namibia

Spotlight workshop format

One 6-hour session on Saturday morning from 09h00 – 16h00 for approximately 100 trade attendees.

How the TravelExpo will be Promoted

  • We have appointed a well-known Namibian events company to send out invitations and chase-up registrations. Invitations will be sent using our specifically targeted databases to travel agencies (leisure and corporate), inbound and regional tour operators, and major corporate travel accounts.
  • ANTA and TASA will be sending invites to all Tour Operators, IATA Travel agents as well as Non – IATA Agents & ITC’s based in Namibia.
  • Frequent reminders will be sent via email and telephone follow-ups.

  • Fly into Windhoek
  • 19h00 – 21h00: Informal get-together for exhibitors at Movenpick Mercure. Drinks included. Meals can be ordered at your own cost.
  • We suggest that you overnight at the Workshop venue – Movenpick Mercure (accommodation not included)

  • 07h00 – 08h00: Exhibitors set-up tables
  • 08h30: Trade registration and light breakfast
  • 09h00 – 11h00: Spotlight TravelExpo
  • 11h00 – 11h30: Morning coffee break
  • 11h30 – 13h00: TravelExpo continues
  • 13h00 – 14h00: Lunch and prize draw
  • 14h00 – 16h00: TravelExpo continues
  • 16h00: End of Spotlight TravelExpo
